Inara stopped behind him and her lips pressed together in annoyance. She was truly trying to remain friends with him, well maybe not friends but friendly enough. He was making it more than obvious that he wanted nothing like that, that he wanted nothing more to do with her. Maybe she should just accept that and quit trying so hard for something she just couldn't have.

"I'm sure I'll like it then... And why wouldn't I be honest with you? It's obvious that this is the last place you wish to be and I'd truly hate to keep you here longer that what is absolutely neccessary." She reached up and tucked a stray curl behind her ear before heading in to check out the work he'd done.
