Her eyebrows drew a little together but outside of that she managed to keep her expression neutral. She really didn't know why she expected something more from him but really she supposed she was lucky he was even talking to her.
"There's a couple of different ones that need fixing," she finally said and turned and motioned to the large shelves ling the back wall. It was obvious whivh of them needed fixing since they were missing the wood slates and those were leaning against the wall. There were other shelves in the back that needed fixing but the ones in the front were the most urgent.
She turned to face him again and even took a step closer to him. "Derek..." She hesitated for a moment and it was obvious she wanted to say something but instead of saying what she wanted, she just said, "Thank you."
