She froze at the doorway to the bathroom, her back stiffening more and more with each word he yelled at her. Though she was furious, she was managing to keep her temper from exploding. He was being absolutely ridiculous and she just didn't understand him at all.

"Then why did you? You could have turned me down." she slowly turned to face him and her voice was deceptively soft and calm. "I'm sorry you're so angry about all this, Derek. I'm sorry if I hurt you, that wasn't my intention all. Just like it wasn't my intention to end up caring for you as much as I have... I suppose there are just some things we can't help. If being angry at me makes you feel better, then keep being angry at me."
