[It's not meant to be an insult when Angela ends up admitting that she's knocking on Derek's door because she has no one else to bother. It's just that he's the only person she's managed to have a more than decent connection with so far, even if that connection meant rolling around in her bed for a few times. There isn't anybody else she knows well enough in this town just yet and even fewer people whose addresses she knows.

Besides, there's no way she can finish this entire gallon chocolate peanut butter pretzel ice cream before it melts due to the blackout. She needs help with this and who better than a man with a six pack that can hold up better to it than her hips? No one, that's who, so she hopes Derek is at home or her jeans are screwed.]

[ To say that Derek was pissed at the power going off was something of an understatement. He was almost at the Super Bowl level on the latest Madden, with an 11 game winning streak that started the night before. Clooney even picked his head up as the tv went black suddenly. It seemed to be a sign for Morgan to take his ass to bed. He slept through the Mayor's message and woke up not to find any power on yet didn't think the worst.

He headed out to do his usual work out, certain the power would be back sooner or later only to return a little more than two hours with it still gone. Derek had just finished taking a cold shower and getting dressed in more than his usual pair of shorts (added on t-shirt and socks) when there was knocking on his door. Clooney barked once then waited on the hand that fed him to open the door. ]

Hey, Gorgeous. Aren't you a sight for sore eyes.

[ His smile widened and he stepped back with a glance to Clooney, giving a quick german word for stay while the door opened further. The dog cocked his head as if to ask his owner if he was serious yet didn't leave the spot other than his butt about to rise from the ground from the stub wagging excitedly. ]

[The barking throws her off guard, certainly not expecting to hear that sound coming from the other side of the door. Her furrowed brows are what greet Derek when he pulls open the door along with the side lean of her body as she completely ignores another one of his pet names for his actual pet that can barely be made out in the darkness.]

You didn't tell me you had a dog!

[She sounds wholly offended at these turn of events. If she knew, she would have brought him treats! Some squeaky toys! Prepared her hands for an extended belly rub! What kind of owner is Derek to deny his dog some loving from a stranger?]

Sure I did. I told you, he always steals the ladies from me.

[ Derek chuckled as he took the less than frozen item from her hands. ]

Angie, Clooney. Clooney, Angie.

[ More german uttered brought the rottweiler forward without running or jumping on the guest. Angela could easily feel bad for the dog who undoubtedly appeared desperate to jump up and greet her. His rump continued shaking with excitement. Clooney met a few people while being taken out for a run or to use the bathroom but it was SO much more fun when ladies came over and allowed him to cuddle up on the couch. ]

I would too if you just referred to me by name to them and didn't want them to meet me at all.

[Once her hands are free, she punches him playfully in the arm, almost hurting herself more on the solid mass of muscle that she does him. That's as much touching as Derek gets before Angela turns her full attention on Clooney by kneeling down to his height so she can cup his head and give him a lively scratch behind both ears. Commence baby talking and with no shame too.]

Hey there, cutie. Yes, I know. Derek is very mean and no one would blame you if you peed in his shoes. I didn't know you were here so I didn't get to bring you anything. Next time, okay?

[Because there will be a next time, one way or another considering how these two have trouble keeping their clothes on.]

[ His face showed utter amusement at her reply. First, there was the idea of Angela stealing women from him which he found completely sexy. Then was her punch to his arm. He hadn't taken her to be the down to earth type when he first laid eyes on her but found out since that first time just how wrong he'd been. ]

What? No kiss?

[ Clooney was in heaven. He hummed a happy growl as soon as Angela began the scratch behind his ears. The rottie scooted as close as humanly possible, obeying his command to sit and stay rather than jump on her. He did paw carefully at her as if to answer Derek's question--No, you can't have her attention yet. ]

[Angela continues babytalking the dog, going as far as to sit on the ground so they can be closer together, taking his giant paw in hers. Here is her one true weakness besides chocolate and sex: dogs. She's more than happy to forget about the ice cream and roll around on the floor with the pup, but Derek speaking up brings her back to the present.]

Huh? Oh, right.

[With a glint of mischief in her eyes, she makes sure to look up directly at Derek before laying a big ol' smacker right on Clooney's wet nose. He never did say who was getting the kiss, now did he?]

I'll leave you two alone.

[ Derek chuckled and sauntered off with the ice cream. He was beyond used to both friends and family spoiling his rotten dog. Clooney immediately took advantage of his new found friend on the ground with him, laying on her lap. He rotated on said lap after the kiss to his nose. The big burly dog instantly showed his belly and pawed at Angela's arm as if to gently remind her he was there and to stop looking at the human male in the room. ]

I'm gonna have me some ice cream.

[ Once his owner was out of sight, Clooney showered anywhere he could reach on Angela with dog kisses. Derek would normally scold him for slobbering all over guests so the affection was often the dog's secret. --That and becoming over a hundred pounds of a force to be reckoned with if anyone he cared about was in any kind of danger. ]

[Well, who could help it with a big baby like this? Even when he's so well behaved Angela can tell he just wants to be held and petted and loved on like any other dog and who is she to deny him that pleasure? But alas, all good things must come to an end, especially since Derek is escaping with her ice cream.]

It looks like he's jealous, Clooney. Should I go give him a hug at least? He might cry if I don't.

[Of course the dog doesn't give her a proper answer aside from just draping himself all over her lap as she rubs vigorous circles across his belly. With a final pat, she gently shoves him off of her, wiping her face with her sleeve as she stands and follows Derek into the rest of the apartment.]

I never said I brought that for you.

You never said you didn't either. Why show up here with melting ice cream if you're just gonna eat it yourself.

[ Derek made quick work to keep the tub away from Angela. She had yet to greet him properly as far as he was concerned. (They didn't need to have sex ~~yet~~ but he definitely wanted a kiss.) As they spent more time together, sides of him that he hadn't planned on showing in Eudio were coming out. Everything wasn't about sex. It could lead there but he also was able to manage simple cuddling and conversation. ]

Could've stayed at your place for that.

[ Everything was said through an impish smile as he kept the container out of her reach. The t-shirt and track pants he wore did little to kill the imagination at what lied beneath but at least there was coverage. Derek was still cold from lack of hot water during his shower thanks to the power outage. He was clean but his place was typical bachelor messy, more so that he wasn't exactly expecting company. It was something of a miracle that he had a clean spoon to dig into ice cream with. ]

[She knows exactly what he wants from her, but where's the fun in just giving it to him? He can hold that ice cream as high as the sky, but Angela still going to give him a bit of a fight. Standing toe to toe with him now, she smirks up at his dumb yet attractive ~~and possibly lovable~~ face, rolling her eyes at his words.]

I could have, but I came over to see if you had any candles I could steal. And to eat it in your face without giving you any.

[Now there's a curious sort of emphasis on that last word of her statement, the possibility of something hidden deep within it. It's not too obvious and it's so easily missable, but Angela is curious to see if Derek is smart enough to pick up on it.]

[ Standing toe to toe only opened Angela up to the inevitable. Derek quickly dipped his head and stole a kiss, bracing to be hit in the ribs or somewhere equally unpleasant. She could NOT be that close and expect otherwise. His hand did manage to lower and give her access to the ice cream. Consider the innuendo received, Angie. ]

You're not the only one capable of stealing things.

[ He quipped and slipped an arm around her waist as the ice cream sat in her reach. ]

It's not stealing if I let you have it.

[Good thing he braced for it because there go all five of her fingers on her right hand digging between his ribs. It's not so much a move that would take a man of his and strength down, but it's enough to let him know she's never going to be a pushover for him.

Clooney is not about not having any part of this so in his cold nose goes between their legs, trying to shove himself between them. Hey Derek, let go of his new found friend. She has food.]

[ And there went her ice cream right to the floor. Angela inadvertently discovered that Derek Morgan is quite ticklish when unsuspecting.

Clooney, of course, took advantage of the accident and nearly stuck his entire head into the open carton on the floor which elicited a German command from his owner. ]

Look what you did!

[ His reprimand to the woman in front of him was futile. There was no undoing her discovery or the grin on his lips. Strong arms tightened around Angela after quickly retrieving the carton of ice cream from off the floor. The carton was left on a nearby counter--the same surface he hoisted Angie onto in one quick move. ]

If I can't have one dessert, I'll have another.

[ Sounds of huffing in protest could be heard from the rottweiler just outside the kitchen area. ]

[Well, would you look at that. Angela never thought she'd be able to find his weak spot so quickly, but now that she knows that he's as ticklish as ever, Derek is so screwed.]

I did nothing! You were the one holding it hostage!

[She's nowhere as mad as she sounds and the fact that she can barely get the words out of her mouth without losing herself to giggles makes that oh so obvious. Lucky for him, her laughter is cut short by a loud yelp as she's suddenly finding the ground under her feet missing and that gets him rewarded with a tap of her finger on his nose like he's the bad dog here.]

No. Because you ruined my ice cream and now there's doggie backwash in it.

[ Not so fast, Angela. She found his weak spot because he wasn't expecting to be tickled. Now that she was exposed, Derek would put up defenses whenever possible. Key words being 'when possible'. Undoubtedly she'd catch him off guard with how they spent time together. ]

No? [ He had to confirm that she was really denying him from going down on her. Derek didn't look the slightest bit disappointed, just a little confused. He gave a nonchalant shrug and moved from in front of Angie. ] I've got an extra flashlight. You can borrow that.

[ Derek fished through a nearby kitchen drawer and pulled out a small LED light. He set it on the counter not far from her reach then set to cleaning up what was left on the floor. ]

I'm sure the stores have ice cream on sale. I'll buy you a new one. It'll come out of someone's treat money. [ He gave an accusing look toward the dog laying down in just outside the kitchen area. ]

[She shakes her head, but then soothes whatever ruffled feathers Derek's penis may have with a soft kiss to his forehead. Far be it from her to say he's an awful lay and she wouldn't like to continue exploring his body a second time around, but tonight, Angela is strangely not in the mood. No reason, nothing happened, Derek did nothing wrong. Just Miss Montenegro and her wayward whims. Check back in an hour or so, it just might be different.

Glancing at the light for a moment, Angela shakes her head again, this time with a laugh.]

I didn't come here for a flashlight, Derek.

[She came for company. Sitting in the dark with someone interesting sure beats sitting in the dark by herself. Plus he has a dog. And speaking of the dog, Angela pokes Derek in the ribs again with the toe of her flats.]

Hey, don't take it out on Clooney! You're the one who was holding it. He's innocent and I'm a witness to it!

[ The kiss was welcome, even if it was to his forehead. He couldn't get enough of her lips. Both sets. Yet he didn't begrudge her denial of getting a taste from either. However, her reaction to the offer of a flashlight confused him further. He quickly blocked her reach for his ribs, managing not to make harsh contact but simply sweep her foot away rather than get tickled again. ]

Of course you are. Conspirators. Both of you.

[ The accusations were said through a poorly hidden grin. Derek met her gaze with his bottom lip between his teeth. His expression showed that an idea came to him. ]

Wanna ride on the back of my bike to the store or would you rather stay with your new partner in crime?

Oh, stop whining. We all know you deserve it.

[That worrying of his lip will be the death of her one day. ANgela doesn't know it yet nor is she even thinking about it, but much like her fingers in his ribs, it'll catch her off guard.]

Only if I get to wrap my legs around you.

[She may not want sex, but that's never going to stop her from throwing out some innuendo.]

Is that really in question?

[ He walked right into the danger zone to get her off the counter. One strong arm did the trick. He reached with the hand from that arm to take Angela by the hand and lead her out of his place, grabbing keys on the way with his other hand. German was spoken to Clooney who begrudgingly did as he was commanded. ]

Might let you drive. [ The statement was made rather devilishly. ]

[Look, all this carrying her around like she is a sack of potatoes needs to stop... never. Every time she shrieks it's only because she enjoys this little game and likes giving up some control to him every once in a while. Besides, if he ever tosses her over his shoulder, she's so touching his ass.]

Good thing I know how to drive stick.

[Really, Angela needs to stop. Like right now before she gets him all worked up with nowhere to go.]

Derek, what's with the German?

[ It seemed he'd constantly worry his lower lip around her. Derek grinned and lightly smacked her ass at the quip about driving stick. ]

Why doesn't that surprise me in the least?

[ His fiendish grin simmered at the question as they finally made it out the door. ]

Just something I learned from a K9 handler. Teaching commands in either German or Russian makes it harder for just anyone to direct the dog.

[ The answer was given nonchalant while he wondered what Angie might ask next. He was dangerously close to being asked on his life before Eudio. Derek decided to return to their banter in hopes of a distraction. ]

I know how you like things hard, Baby.

[This time when she shrieks, they're already out on the sidewalk and a nice older looking lady turns to look Angela's way, shaking her head and muttering about keeping thee neighborhood nice. Thanks a lot, Derek. All she needed tonight was some grandma who probably smells like chocolate chip cookies and the peppermints at the bottom of her purse judging her for being loud.]

K9 handler? A cop?

[What she's really asking him is if he's a cop. Most people would have said dog trainer, but in Angela's experience, it's usually some form of law enforcement that uses the term Derek used. The wheels are turning and up starts her curiosity, causing her to completely ignore his innuendo.]

[ Get over it, Granny. This was Cuddle City after all. He might not have said as much but Derek didn't tone down his fiendish grin in the slightest.

Until Angie asked her questions. ]

Yeah, he was a cop.

[ Redirecting didn't work so he would try answering casually. Derek had a mean poker face sometimes, especially if emotions weren't involved. He was close to legendary at work. His swagger didn't skip a beat on the walk to his motorcycle. Two hard cased saddlebags were mounted to which he unlocked one then the other, removing one helmet then another and passing her one before grabbing the other. ]

Actually, I was asking if you were a cop, but I guess that's a no.

[Casual works for her because she doesn't see any hint of him avoiding the turn in the conversation, something that would set off her suspicion radar. However, that may backfire on him because as she flips the helmet over in preparation to get it on, Angela starts asking another thing.]

What do you do for a living anyway?
